Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated September 2026

This policy sets out what you may not do with UddoktaPay or Paymently. It applies to everyone using the hosted dashboard or a self-hosted licence, and it forms part of the Terms of Service.

1. Businesses that may not use the service

You may not use the platform to collect payment for:

  • anything illegal under the laws of Bangladesh or of the country you operate in;
  • fraud, deception, or any scheme designed to mislead the payer about what they are buying;
  • Ponzi, pyramid, matrix, HYIP, or other investment schemes that pay existing participants from new deposits;
  • unlicensed gambling, betting, or lotteries;
  • narcotics, controlled substances, or unapproved pharmaceuticals;
  • weapons, ammunition, or explosives where prohibited;
  • child sexual abuse material, non-consensual content, or human trafficking in any form;
  • stolen goods, stolen data, counterfeit goods, or pirated media and software;
  • malware, hacking services, credential dumps, or tools sold for unauthorised access;
  • money laundering, terrorist financing, sanctions evasion, or unlicensed money transmission.

2. Conduct that is not allowed

  • impersonating another business, or misrepresenting who is receiving the payment;
  • using the platform to process payments on behalf of an undisclosed third party;
  • submitting false transaction identifiers, forged screenshots, or otherwise attempting to defeat payment verification;
  • breaching the terms of any wallet, bank, or gateway whose account you have connected;
  • collecting payment for goods or services you have no intention of delivering.

3. Technical restrictions

  • do not attempt to gain unauthorised access to the platform, other accounts, or our infrastructure;
  • do not probe, scan, or load-test our systems without written permission;
  • do not interfere with the service or place an unreasonable load on it;
  • do not remove, disable, or circumvent licensing, attribution, or security mechanisms;
  • do not resell, redistribute, or publish the source code.

4. Enforcement

If we believe this policy has been breached we may limit functionality, suspend or terminate the account or licence, and where the law requires it, report the matter to the authorities. Serious breaches may result in immediate termination without refund.

For self-hosted installations our practical remedy is to suspend the licence; the software and its data remain on your own server.

5. Reporting a breach

If you believe a merchant is misusing the platform, please tell us through the abuse reporting channel on our contact page. Include as much detail as you can — links, transaction references, and what you observed — so we can investigate.
